A Yeast Infection is described as vulvar pruritus (itching) which is typically the dominant symptom. There can be vulvar burning, soreness, and irritation. Yeast Infection discharge is classically white, thick, adherent to the vaginal sidewalls, and clumpy (curd-like or cottage cheese-like) with no or minimal odor. The external genitalia, vagina, and cervix often reveals erythema (redness) of the vulva, vaginal mucosa, and/or vulvar edema. In some, symptoms can often be worse during the week prior to menses.
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is described as a vaginal discharge and/or vaginal odor. The discharge is off-white, thin, sometimes watery-like. The odor is an unpleasant fishy smell. Odor can be extremely noticeable after sexual intercourse and during menses. While BV discharge can be distinguished, vulvovaginal erythema, edema, and tenderness are typically absent.
A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is described as symptoms of dysuria (pain on urination), urinary urgency, urinary frequency, and/or suprapubic pain. A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is described as symptoms of dysuria (pain on urination), urinary urgency, urinary frequency, and/or suprapubic pain. In addition, there can be hematuria (blood in urine), cloudy urine with strong odor. A Complicated UTI involves features that is suggested beyond the bladder. There can be a new onset of fever (>99.9°F/37.7°C), chills, fatigue, malaise, confusion. Other features may involve flank pain or costovertebral angle tenderness. Even though a UTI is common in females, males can also experience a UTI with above symptoms.

An electronic requisition will be sent to Quest Laboratory. You will also receive a copy to present to your nearest Quest on your arrival. There is an additional service fee due at ordering. Quest do not collect payments at lab centers.
